About The Position

This position is for a Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) Registered Nurse. The schedule is 3x12's / 36 Hours with a rotating D/N schedule every 4 weeks. The estimated patient ratio is 1:1-2.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Medical ICU experience.
• EPIC EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!
• BCLS certification
• ACLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• AHA Certifications only
• Proficient in IV start
• Experience with telemetry
• Competency with ventilators

Nice To Haves

• Previous travel nursing experience
• Proficiency in EPIC documentation system

Responsibilities

• Provide care in a Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU).
• Manage patients with conditions including Multisystem Organ Failure, Respiratory Failure, COVID, Sepsis, Post-Cardiac Arrest, Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA), Liver Failure, and Renal Failure.
• Utilize Continuous Glucose Monitoring for Hyperglycemia.
• Manage externalized IV pumps for COVID+ Patients.
• Operate NxStage CRRT, Alaris IV Pump, GE Cardiac Monitor, GE Ventilator, and Boom Lift in Each Patient Room.
