About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) Registered Nurse to join our team. This position involves working a 3x12 hour schedule, totaling 36 hours per week, with a rotating schedule every 4 weeks between days and nights. The estimated patient ratio is 1:1-2. This role requires a minimum of 2 years of Medical ICU experience and proficiency in the EPIC electronic health record system. The nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality care to critically ill patients, managing complex medical conditions, and utilizing specialized equipment and procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Medical ICU experience.
• EPIC EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!
• Proficient in IV start.
• Experience with telemetry.
• Competency with ventilators.
• BCLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• NIHSS certification.
• AHA Certifications only.

Nice To Haves

• Previous travel nursing experience.
• Proficiency in EPIC documentation system.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) setting.
• Manage patient care with an estimated ratio of 1:1-2.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient vital signs and condition, responding to changes promptly.
• Operate and maintain specialized medical equipment.
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the EPIC system.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and treatment plans.
