About The Position

CoxHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) at CoxHealth South. This is a full-time night shift position. The nurse will provide exceptional care to critically ill patients, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and have opportunities for professional growth through credentialing classes and a clinical ladder program. The role involves managing patient care during medical conditions or surgical procedures, including assessing patient condition, administering medications, changing dressings, monitoring vital signs, keeping records, and providing support and education to patients and families. The Registered Nurse must maintain a wide array of medical care knowledge to care for a diverse group of patients.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program.
RN license active in the state of Missouri.
BLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrate effective leadership abilities.
Exhibits valuable time management skills.
Strong critical thinking/problem solving skills.
Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
Previous nursing experience.
