About The Position

The Eating Disorders Program is seeking a Registered Nurse to work on the inpatient unit and support various levels of programming. This role involves assisting with individual, family, and group clinical programming, including meal support and family-based interventions.

Requirements

• Current Certification of competence, College of Nurses of Ontario (Essential)
• Current CPR Certification (Essential)
• Excellent team work and interpersonal skills (Essential)
• Knowledge and experience in the area of Eating Disorders (Essential)
• Strong interpersonal and team skills (Essential)
• Vulnerable Sector Check (Essential)

Nice To Haves

• B.Sc. Nursing (Preferred)
• Paediatric nursing experience (Preferred)
• Experience in paediatric mental health (Preferred)
• Bilingual (English/ French) (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing assessments and interventions for patients within the Eating Disorders Program.
• Provide psychoeducation to the patient, family, and other health care providers regarding Eating Disorders.
• Participate in individual, family, and group clinical programming.
• Offer clinical interventions and support, including intensive meal support, to patients and their families.
• Support teaching and research activities.
• Participate in multidisciplinary care planning and discharge planning.
• Carry other responsibilities as assigned.
