About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a MedSurg/Telemetry unit caring for adult and geriatric patients. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, experience in acute care settings, and the ability to manage multiple patients in a fast-paced environment. This is a 32-bed unit with a patient ratio of 1:5, serving an adult and older adult population. The role involves exposure to trauma cases and acute care treatments.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Proven experience in MedSurg/Telemetry
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Nice To Haves
- Experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation settings
- Prior NICHE training
- Experience with EPIC EMR system
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a MedSurg/Telemetry setting
- Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry data
- Administer medications, including heparin drips and other acute treatments
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR systems
- Utilize specialized equipment such as gait belts, geriatric chairs, and PT equipment
- Ensure patient safety and adherence to hospital protocols
