About The Position
Ortho Surgical Med/Surg RN position working 12-hour night shifts for a 16–32 week assignment. RN will care for orthopedic and post-surgical medical-surgical patients in a large teaching/trauma facility. Floating to like units is required. Weekend coverage is required and may exceed every other weekend based on unit needs. No block scheduling permitted. Bi-weekly Monday orientations are offered. Reliable transportation is strongly recommended due to limited public transit access.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of orthopedic experience required
- Experience in a large teaching facility required
- Active BLS required
- Active NIHSS required (must be obtained prior to start)
- Active ACLS required
- EPIC experience within the past 2 years is mandatory and nonnegotiable
- Complete work history and explanation of employment gaps over 30 days required
- If first travel assignment, requires 4 years of strong Med/Surg ortho experience and experience in more than one large teaching trauma center
Nice To Haves
- Prior travel experience preferred
