About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking Registered Nurses to join their Medical Telemetry Unit at Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas. This 38-bed unit provides a high level of direct and individualized care for a varied medical/telemetry population, offering ample learning opportunities with a full spectrum of medical diagnoses and comorbidities. The unit emphasizes a highly engaged and supportive team, flexible scheduling, and work-life balance.

Requirements

• Graduate of RN School of Nursing
• ADN required
• Must be licensed to practice professional nursing by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners
• Graduated from an Accredited Program
• Major in Nursing
• 2 Years of Experience
• Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Providing a high level of direct and individualized care.
• Caring for patients with Sepsis, Pulmonary Conditions or Respiratory Distress, Chest Pain, Infection.
• Caring for patients requiring isolation, including negative airflow rooms.
• Providing skin and wound care, including wound vacs.
• Assisting with procedures such as scopes, thoracentesis, lumbar puncture, central line placement, paracentesis, angio-cath, pacemaker insertions, and chest tubes.
• Managing Enteral Feeding Tube Insertion and Maintenance.
• Providing Cardiac monitoring.
• Caring for patients with GI abnormalities, Trach care, and Genitourinary abnormalities.
