About The Position
Sage Group HealthCare Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical for a permanent/full-time position in Kansas. New graduates are welcome to apply. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to adult medical and surgical patients, monitoring patient conditions, administering medications, collaborating with the healthcare team, educating patients and families, and maintaining accurate documentation. The position emphasizes patient safety, quality care, and participation in quality improvement initiatives.

- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) or Diploma in Nursing from an accredited nursing program – Required
- Active Kansas RN License or Compact RN License – Required
- BLS Certification (AHA or American Red Cross) – Required

- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – Preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical and surgical patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes, and communicate findings promptly to the healthcare team.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and treatments according to physician orders and nursing standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate individualized patient care.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, discharge instructions, and disease management.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record.
- Promote patient safety while maintaining a supportive and compassionate environment.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education opportunities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
