About The Position

Sage Group HealthCare Staffing is seeking an Internal Medicine Office Nurse (RN/LPN) for a permanent, full-time position in New Hampshire. This role involves providing professional nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in an Internal Medicine outpatient practice. The nurse will collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals, administer medications and treatments, monitor patient conditions, maintain electronic health records, educate patients and families, and supervise LPNs and MAs. Compliance with clinical policies, nursing standards, and regulatory requirements is essential, as is promoting patient safety and a positive patient experience. Continuing education and additional duties as assigned are also part of the role.

Requirements

  • Previous nursing experience in Internal Medicine, Primary Care, Family Practice, or an outpatient clinical setting – Required
  • New graduate nurses are not eligible for this position
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and patient care practices
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality while delivering compassionate, patient-focused care
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing program (ASN or higher for RN) – Required
  • Active New Hampshire RN License or Compact RN License, or an active New Hampshire LPN License – Required
  • BLS Certification (AHA) – Required
  • ACLS Certification – Required

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in an Internal Medicine outpatient practice.
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to develop and coordinate individualized patient care plans.
  • Administer medications, injections, treatments, and other nursing interventions as prescribed.
  • Monitor patient conditions and promptly communicate significant changes to the healthcare team.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
  • Educate patients and their families regarding medications, disease management, preventive care, and treatment plans.
  • Supervise and provide clinical guidance to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Medical Assistants (MAs) as appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with all clinical policies, procedures, nursing standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote patient safety, quality care, and a positive patient experience.
  • Participate in continuing education and perform additional duties as assigned.
