About The Position

This is a Registered Nurse position in a Medical Surgical unit. The role requires experience with Charge RN duties and involves caring for adult to geriatric patients with a wide range of medical-surgical diagnoses. The unit has a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:6, with 32 rooms and an average daily census of 29. Candidates must be compliant with all requirements to start on time, as orientation is bi-weekly. Locals are accepted at the same rate.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of experience.
Charge RN experience requested.
BLS Certification required.
Proficiency in Isolation Precautions.
Proficiency in Wound Care/Wound Vac.
Proficiency with Nasal Cannula and High Flow Nasal Cannula.
Experience with Chest Tubes.
Ability to Start IVs.
Experience with PICC Line Management.
Experience with Blood Product Administration.
Experience with Feeding Tube Care and Management.
Proficiency in Epic.
Full compliance required to start on time.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care to adults and geriatrics with potential Med Surg diagnoses.
Manage patient care in a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio.
Adhere to Isolation Precautions.
Perform Wound Care/Wound Vac management.
Administer care via Nasal Cannula and High Flow Nasal Cannula.
Manage Chest Tubes.
Initiate IV access and manage PICC lines.
Administer blood products.
Provide Feeding Tube Care and Management.
Float within the facility and scope of practice as needed.
Work every other weekend unless otherwise specified.
Work holidays as assigned, based on the number of major holidays falling within the assignment period.
