About The Position

The 11300 Neurosurgery unit specializes in pre- and post-operative cranial and spinal surgery patients. This unit is the secondary choice for any general neurology and stroke patients. They commonly maintain intermittently drained lumbar and surgical drains. The unit does not take any drips that require titration (with the exception of Heparin), trached/total laryngectomy, EVDs, fresh TPA administration, or arterial lines. The facility is a Short Term Acute Care Magnet & Teaching Hospital with Level I Trauma Center designation and a total of 1,266 staffed beds.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience required.
• Must have ACLS, BCLS, and NIH certifications.
• Must have a valid RN license.
• Home address must be at least 75 miles from the facility.
• No more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract.
• Clinicians will float within scope to meet facility needs.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Heparin drips.
• Experience with trached/total laryngectomy patients.
• Experience with EVDs.
• Experience with fresh TPA administration.
• Experience with arterial lines.
