About The Position

Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 6RW Medicine Cohort 10, an adult Medical Surgical unit. This role involves applying the nursing process to plan and implement patient care, including education and continuum of care planning. The nurse will collaborate with the healthcare team, establish patient goals, and evaluate progress. The unit has a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6 and cares for patients with complex conditions across various systems including respiratory, gastrointestinal, renal, neurological, psychiatric, cardiac, and infectious diseases. Requirements

At least 1 year of RN experience
Nursing degree
State or Compact License (TN license within 60 days of getting TN address even if compact license)
LIC-Registered Nurse - Licensure-Others
Relevant Work Experience
1 year experience
Graduate of an approved discipline specific program

Responsibilities

Applies the nursing process to plan and implement the care of patients, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning.
