About The Position

Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is seeking a Registered Nurse for its 6RW Medicine Cohort 10 unit, an adult Medical Surgical unit. This role involves applying the nursing process to plan and implement patient care, including education and continuum of care planning. The nurse will collaborate with the healthcare team to establish patient goals and evaluate progress, while also pursuing professional growth. The unit has a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6 and cares for patients with complex conditions across various systems including respiratory, gastrointestinal, renal, neurological, psychiatric, cardiac, and infectious diseases. Requirements

At least 1 year of RN experience
Nursing degree
State or Compact License (TN license within 60 days of getting TN address even if compact license)

Responsibilities

Applies the nursing process to plan and implement the care of patients, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning.
