About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Medical Surgical/Telemetry assignment. The RN will provide comprehensive care to adult and geriatric patients requiring telemetry monitoring and specialized medical-surgical care. This unit primarily cares for Stroke/TIA patients while also managing higher-acuity medical patients.
Requirements
- Active Tennessee RN License
- Current BLS Certification
- Current ACLS Certification
- Current NIHSS Certification
- Minimum 1 Year of Recent MS/Tele Experience
- Minimum 1 Year of Epic Experience Required
- No First-Time Travelers
- Experience with Adult and Geriatric Patients
- Medical Surgical Nursing
- Telemetry Monitoring
- Stroke/TIA Care
- Cardiac Monitoring
- Dialysis Patient Care
- Respiratory Care
- Peritoneal Dialysis
- Continuous Bladder Irrigation (CBI)
- IV Therapy
- Epic EMR
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Monitor telemetry and cardiac patients.
- Care for patients with Stroke/TIA, CHF, Sepsis, Respiratory Failure, Dialysis needs, Chest Pain, and Neurological conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments safely.
- Provide patient and family education.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
- Float to other units based on skill set and staffing needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic.
- Follow patient safety and infection control standards.
