About The Position

This is a Medical Surgical Neuro Days position with options for 36 or 48-hour work weeks. Anything over 48 hours is considered overtime. The unit has 32 beds and a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6. A rapid response team is activated as needed. The position accepts first-time travelers. Charting is done via Epic. There is no on-call requirement. Floating to similar units may be required. Weekends involve 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week period.

Requirements

• BLS required
• NIHSS required
• 1 year of recent experience required

Nice To Haves

• CPI preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care on a Medical Surgical Neuro unit.
• Manage patient care with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6.
• Respond to rapid response team activations.
• Utilize Epic for charting.
• Float to like units as needed.
• Work 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week period.
