About The Position

We are seeking a Registered Nurse for a Medical Surgical - Neuro position. This role involves caring for patients with Neuro Surgical Procedures and Neuro diagnoses. The unit utilizes Pyxis for medication, SBAR for communication, and EPIC for documentation. Contract staff will be assigned to and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team, potentially requiring them to report to work during catastrophic events, mass casualties, or disasters. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid-contract may occur, with contract staff preassigned to units as needed. The position requires 2 orientation shifts on the unit after hospital-based orientation. Scrubs should be navy.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience.
• Must pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty.
• Must have BCLS certification.

Nice To Haves

• Traveler Experience is not required.
• NIH certification is preferred.
• Neuro experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients with Neuro Surgical Procedures and Neuro diagnoses.
• Work as part of a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team, potentially during catastrophic events, mass casualties, or disasters.
• Float to other units as needed.
• Complete 2 orientation shifts on the unit after hospital-based orientation.
