About The Position

Advocate Health IL Float Pool is a multi-site resource team supporting Medical Surgical (Med Surg) care across the Illinois division. Float RNs provide adaptable, high-quality nursing care across multiple hospitals and units based on organizational need. Teammates must be flexible, skilled, and ready to deliver exceptional care in a wide variety of settings.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical RN experience required

Nice To Haves

• Self-Scheduled; day-to-day floating or 6-week float assignments
• Support Sites: Zone 4: Condell, Good Shepherd, Sherman, Lutheran, Masonic; OR
• Support Sites: Zone 5: Good Samaritan, Christ, Trinity, South Suburban, Masonic
• 0.9 FTE; Full-Time
• Shift: Nights 1900-0730 (12-hour Shifts)
• Teammates must be flexible, skilled, and ready to deliver exceptional care in a wide variety of settings.
• Work across multiple (5-7) Aurora Health facilities through day-to-day floating or 6-week site rotations
• Exposure to various departments and patient populations helps prevent routine fatigue and keeps work exciting
• Demonstrates adaptability, competence, and the ability to manage diverse clinical situations
• Enjoy flexible self-scheduling, no on-call requirements, and only limited weekend and holiday requirement
