About The Position

Advocate Health IL Float Pool is a multi-site resource team supporting Medical Surgical (Med Surg) care across the Illinois division. Float RNs provide adaptable, high-quality nursing care across multiple hospitals and units based on organizational need. Teammates must be flexible, skilled, and ready to deliver exceptional care in a wide variety of settings.

Requirements

Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
ACLS certification
Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical RN experience required

Day-to-day floating or 6-week float assignments
FLEX (Zero Assign)
Nights 1900-0730 (12-hour Shifts)
Support Sites: Zone 4: Condell, Good Shepherd, Sherman, Lutheran, Masonic; OR
Support Sites: Zone 5: Good Samaritan, Christ, Trinity, South Suburban, Masonic
Travel-nursing-style variety — without the travel
Work across multiple (5-7) Aurora Health facilities through day-to-day floating or 6-week site rotations
Fresh, dynamic work environment
Exposure to various departments and patient populations helps prevent routine fatigue and keeps work exciting
