Resource Registered Nurse - ICU Float Pool
About The Position
Advocate Health IL Resource Team is a multi-site resource team supporting ICU care across the Illinois division. Float RNs provide adaptable, high-quality nursing care across multiple hospitals and units based on organizational need. Teammates must be flexible, skilled, and ready to deliver exceptional care in a wide variety of settings. As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in delivering and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process. This job description indicates the general nature and level of work expected of the incumbent. Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of ICU RN experience required
- Weekend Requirement (Friday 1900 – Monday 0700): 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
- Holiday Requirement: 2 holidays per year
Responsibilities
- Providing safe, therapeutic, evidence-based nursing care in alignment with established standards, policies, and procedures
- Demonstrating adaptability by floating to multiple care environments within a designated Zone, integrating quickly into new departments, and collaborating with diverse teams
- Leading efforts that support the safest patient environment and best possible patient experience
- Coordinating care for diverse patient populations within various acute-care, hospital outpatient departments and clinic settings
- Maintaining the competency required to practice in all acute-care facilities within the designated zone
