Registered Nurse, Medical Oncology
About The Position
Sentara Careplex Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for Medical Oncology. This position's primary duties include assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, giving medications, talking with family members, and being responsible for the overall care of your patients. Teamwork is exceptional, with everyone working together to ensure the best care for our patients. The Medical Oncology Unit at Sentara CarePlex is a 16-bed unit that specializes in providing exceptional care for Solid Tumor Oncology, Hematology Oncology, and Surgical Oncology patients. Services provided include Chemotherapy/Biotherapy drug administration, Pre/Post-Surgical Care, Hospice and Palliative Care, and Sickle Cell Management.
Requirements
- Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire
- RN-Associate’s Degree, or RN-Bachelor’s Degree, or RN-Diploma, or RN-Master’s Degree
- Certification required after 6-months of hire for Chemotherapy/Biotherapy drug administration
