About The Position
This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. The position is full-time, night shift, in a high-acuity, 32-bed unit with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 2:1. Ascension is a leading nonprofit Catholic health system committed to reimagining healthcare.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced technical procedures and interventions using CRRT, ECMO, hypo/hyperthermia protocol, Level one rapid transfuser, Swan, Stroke.
- Act as the Clinical Liaison by translating complex medical plans into clear, compassionate language.
- Engage in effective team collaboration, including rapid response and initiative participation.
