About The Position
Pro Med Healthcare is currently seeking passionate, high-quality Registered Nurses (RN) with dedicated pediatric experience for premium Per Diem shifts in St. Louis, MO. We have immediate openings for both day and night 12-hour shifts within a rewarding Pediatric Medical/Surgical environment.
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted Missouri (MO) RN License or valid Compact/Multistate License.
- Must have recent, dedicated Pediatric nursing experience (Pediatric Med/Surg, PICU, or general pediatric floors).
- Active BLS and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications.
- Strong communication skills and a gentle, patient-first approach to caring for children and their families.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized, age-appropriate nursing care to pediatric patients acute illnesses or recovering from surgical procedures.
- Conduct thorough clinical assessments, monitor vital signs, and manage pediatric-specific medication administration and IV therapies.
- Deliver compassionate, family-centered care, ensuring parents and guardians are well-informed and supported throughout the plan of care.
- Monitor patient conditions closely, rapidly identifying and responding to subtle changes in pediatric status.
- Collaborate effectively with pediatricians, specialists, and the facility's interdisciplinary team.
