About The Position

Thompson Health, affiliated with UR Medicine (University of Rochester Medical Center), is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for supplemental per-diem work. The role uses the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation; prescribes, delegates, and coordinates nursing care; provides patient education; and coordinates ancillary personnel while maintaining professional nursing practice standards. Varied 12-hour shifts are available, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. The position pay range is $38.00–$50.00 per hour, with starting pay based on experience.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• New York State license as a Registered Professional Nurse.
• Good communication skills and customer service skills.
• Reliability and flexibility.
• Demonstrate the CARES Values at all times.

Nice To Haves

• BSN or working toward a BSN, or professional certification within one year of employment; preferred.
• Two to five years of medical-surgical nursing experience in an acute care setting; preferred.
• Completion of a BSN is required within five years of employment.
