About The Position

Thompson Health is seeking a per diem Registered Nurse for its Med/Surg services. The role uses the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to prescribe, delegate, and coordinate nursing care for patients. The nurse provides patient education and coordinates ancillary personnel while maintaining professional nursing practice standards.

Varied 12-hour shifts are available, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. The position pay range is $38.00–$50.00 per hour; starting pay is based on experience.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• New York State license as a Registered Professional Nurse.
• Good communication skills and customer service skills.
• Reliability and flexibility.
• Demonstrate the CARES Values at all times.

Nice To Haves

• BSN, or working toward a BSN or professional certification within one year of employment.
• Completion of a BSN within five years of employment is required.
• Two to five years of medical-surgical nursing experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
