About The Position

Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse - Med/Surg/PCU for a 13-week travel assignment in Newport, VT 05855. This role involves providing direct patient care to a variety of patients, primarily adult Med/Surg with occasional pediatric patients, while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. The nurse will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care to meet diverse patient needs. The position requires flexibility to float to other units like the ED and MCH if needed, and the ability to perform charge nurse duties.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of recent acute care RN experience required
  • Current Vermont RN license or Compact Multi-State RN License
  • ACLS (American Heart Association) required
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification during employment
  • Effective team skills including interaction, support, and respect
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication skills, professionalism, and reliability
  • Must be able to work independently/hit the ground running
  • Able to adapt to stressful situations quickly and effectively
  • Ability to learn and apply basic computer skills including locating and opening documents, completing forms, opening and sending e-mail messages
  • Must pass a drug screen and background check
  • Complete assigned facility onboarding forms

  • Collaborate closely with providers, nursing leadership, and support staff to ensure safe, compassionate, and high-quality care
  • Float to other units (ED, MCH), if there is a need
  • Perform charge nurse duties
