About The Position
Central Maine Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse Manager for its Peri-Anesthesia departments in Lewiston, Maine. The Nurse Leader partners with physicians, nursing leadership, anesthesia teams, and hospital administration to support safe, efficient, patient-centered perioperative care, operational excellence, and positive patient outcomes. The position oversees daily departmental operations and supports staff, quality, budgeting, and resource planning.
Requirements
- Current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse.
- BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintain current.
- Minimum of two years of supervisory or management experience.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), required for all hires after 1/11/2021.
- Current ACLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintain current.
- Current PALS (AHA) certification for facilities caring for a pediatric population.

- Experience in Peri-Anesthesia Nursing.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the Peri-Anesthesia departments.
- Manage staffing, scheduling, workflow, productivity, and department performance.
- Ensure high-quality patient care, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and hospital leadership.
- Lead quality improvement and performance initiatives.
- Assist with budgeting, resource management, and operational planning.
- Support staff recruitment, training, mentoring, and performance management.
