RN - Registered Nurse Manager - Emergency Department - Days
About The Position
The Registered Nurse Manager oversees emergency services activities, workflow, and nursing resources in the Emergency Department. The role ensures departmental compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements and supports the hiring, training, direction, development, and evaluation of nursing staff. The manager identifies and resolves issues affecting patient care delivery, develops and implements policies and procedures to support effective health services, and monitors budgets and related expenditures, purchases, and actions for compliance with budget guidelines. The position is full-time and works Monday through Friday on day shifts at UAB St. Vincent's East in Trussville, Alabama.
Requirements
- Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
- BLS Provider certification obtained within 30 days of hire or job transfer; American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification accepted.
- Required professional licensure/certification and a diploma from an accredited school or college of Nursing.
- Three years of experience and one year of cumulative leadership experience.
