RN - Registered Nurse Manager - Emergency Department - Days
About The Position
The Registered Nurse Manager oversees emergency services activities, workflow, and nursing resources in the Emergency Department at UAB St. Vincent's East in Trussville, Alabama. The position is scheduled full-time, Monday through Friday during the day. The manager ensures departmental compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements; supports the hiring, training, direction, development, and evaluation of nursing staff; and identifies and resolves issues affecting patient care delivery. The role also develops and implements policies and procedures to support efficient and effective health services and monitors budgets and expenditures to ensure compliance with budget guidelines. Requirements
- Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
- BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire or job transfer; American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification accepted.
- Required professional licensure/certification and a diploma from an accredited school or college of Nursing.
- Three years of experience.
- One year of cumulative leadership experience.
Responsibilities
