About The Position

We are seeking a full-time ASC Nurse Manager to work in our Ft Myers, FL office. The hours are variable but in general are Monday - Friday average of 40-45 hours weekly.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse Manager experience
  • Experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) environment
  • Knowledge of AAAHC and AHCA licensure requirements
  • Proficiency in patient care and clinical operations
  • Staff performance management skills (coaching, counseling)
  • Patient flow and program operations monitoring skills
  • Training and orientation of new staff experience
  • Procedure, protocol, and policy development/revision skills
  • Quality Assessment and Improvement process support
  • Safety and infection control coordination experience
  • Experience with preoperative statistics monitoring
  • Assistance with peer review and medical records reviews
  • Experience with EHR systems
  • Experience with drug supply and narcotics tracking

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and support in all areas of ASC operations.
  • A hands on manager working with the staff in patient care as needed.
  • Responsible with the director for AAAHC and AHCA licensure.
  • Foster quality patient services and clinical operations by communicating with staff and physicians.
  • Ensure adequate and appropriate ASC & clinical staffing coverage to provide the highest quality patient care and services.
  • Maintain a high standard of staff performance by coaching and counseling employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job as needed.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the effective delivery of all patient services by regularly monitoring patient flow and program operations.
  • Responsible for assisting with the coordination and the training/orientation of new ASC & clinical staff.
  • Create, update and revise ASC & clinical procedures, protocols, and policies in collaboration with the ASC Director and other leaders.
  • Support the Quality Assessment and Improvement process.
  • Serve as Safety and infection control coordinator.
  • Serves as a resource for questions and issues related to a range of ASC & clinical issues.
  • Monitors preoperative statistics, i.e. number of cases, procedures, patients, complications (i.e. infection, bleeding).
  • Assists physicians with peer review and medical records reviews.
  • Instrumental in keeping EHR system in working order, and updating and changing any layouts needed.
  • Oversees all drug supply and tracking of narcotics.
