About The Position

Our established multi-specialty Ophthalmology group is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional pre and post-operative care. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring patient safety and comfort, utilizing your expertise to monitor and respond to their needs throughout the surgical process.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Ability to provide exceptional pre and post-operative care
• Expertise in monitoring and responding to patient needs throughout the surgical process
• Skills in patient assessment and documentation
• Ability to carry out prescribed treatments and physician orders
• Ability to provide post-operative education and conduct follow-up calls
• Ability to maintain operating room logs
• Ability to monitor the sterile field
• Ability to assist surgical team personnel
• Ability to prepare and check OR equipment, supplies, and medications

• Previous experience in a surgical center

Responsibilities

• Admit patients, conduct thorough assessments, and prepare them for surgery.
• Receive patients from surgery, evaluate their needs, and provide attentive post-operative care.
• Monitor and document patient status, ensuring clear and concise records.
• Carry out prescribed treatments and physician orders with precision.
• Provide clear post-operative instructions and conduct follow-up phone calls.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date operating room logs.
• Monitor the sterile field.
• Assist anesthesia, scrub, and medical personnel to ensure smooth operations.
• Prepare and check OR equipment, supplies, and medications.
