About The Position
Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential full-time opportunity for a compassionate Registered Nurse – Lactation Consultant supporting military families at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Alaska. The role helps new mothers and their babies thrive through education, encouragement, and specialized lactation support. The schedule is based on clinical needs and is 40 hours per week. The position offers a rewarding military-family healthcare environment.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship.
- Associate Degree in Nursing or higher from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited program.
- Current, unrestricted RN license from any U.S. jurisdiction.
- One year of RN experience within the last two years.
- One year of Lactation Consultant experience or a 1,000-hour clinical internship.
- Current BLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive breastfeeding assessments and support.
- Educate mothers and families on lactation and newborn care.
- Conduct bedside lactation rounds.
- Assist patients experiencing breastfeeding challenges.
- Coordinate inpatient and outpatient lactation services.
