About The Position
Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a compassionate Registered Nurse – Lactation Consultant supporting military families at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Alaska. The role provides education, encouragement, and specialized lactation support to help new mothers and their babies thrive. It is a full-time opportunity with a schedule based on clinical needs (40 hours per week), in a military family healthcare environment.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship.
- Associate Degree in Nursing or higher from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited program.
- Current, unrestricted RN license from any U.S. jurisdiction.
- One year of RN experience within the last two years.
- One year of Lactation Consultant experience or a 1,000-hour clinical internship.
- Current BLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive breastfeeding assessments and support.
- Educate mothers and families on lactation and newborn care.
- Conduct bedside lactation rounds.
- Assist patients experiencing breastfeeding challenges.
- Coordinate inpatient and outpatient lactation services.
