About The Position

Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Labor & Delivery for a 13-week travel assignment in Pella, IA. This position involves nights, working Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7p-7a. The role requires collaboration with the healthcare team, promotion of continuity of care, directing support staff, performing general nursing duties with critical thinking skills, and working with age-specific populations including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited RN program; BSN preferred.
  • Current Registration and Licensures in the State of Iowa as an RN.
  • In good standing with the Board of Nursing.
  • Current ACLS certification.
  • Able to read and communicate effectively in English.
  • High degree of empathetic listening skills, tact and kindness toward others.
  • Technical and critical thinking skills in relation to sound nursing judgment.
  • Knowledge of nursing practices as they relate to acute care.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification during employment.
  • Effective team skills, including interaction, support, and respect are required.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills, professionalism, and reliability.
  • Ability to learn and apply basic computer skills including locating and opening documents, completing forms, opening and sending e-mail messages.
  • Drug screen and background check (facility required).
  • Additional facility onboarding forms as assigned.

Nice To Haves

  • Nursing experience in an acute care setting is preferred.

  • Collaborates with the health care team using evidence-based practice, demonstrating accountability, respect for patients, families and coworkers, while providing safe and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Promotes continuity of care by communicating effectively with interdisciplinary team and family as appropriate.
  • Directs the work of the support staff in the provision of care.
  • Performs general nursing duties using critical thinking skills with minimal supervision.
  • Able to work with the age specific populations according to the setting.
  • Assessments include: neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and the geriatric patient.
