About The Position

Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Labor & Delivery for a 13-week travel assignment in Pella, IA. This position involves nights, working from 7p-7a on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The role requires collaboration with the healthcare team using evidence-based practice, demonstrating accountability, respect for patients, families, and coworkers, while providing safe and optimal patient outcomes. The nurse will promote continuity of care by communicating effectively with the interdisciplinary team and family as appropriate, direct the work of support staff, and perform general nursing duties using critical thinking skills with minimal supervision. The ability to work with age-specific populations, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients, is essential.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited RN program; BSN preferred.
  • Current Registration and Licensures in the State of Iowa as an RN.
  • In good standing with the Board of Nursing.
  • Current ACLS certification.
  • Able to read and communicate effectively in English.
  • High degree of empathetic listening skills, tact and kindness toward others.
  • Technical and critical thinking skills in relation to sound nursing judgment.
  • Knowledge of nursing practices as they relate to acute care.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification during employment.
  • Effective team skills, including interaction, support, and respect are required.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills, professionalism, and reliability.
  • Ability to learn and apply basic computer skills including locating and opening documents, completing forms, opening and sending e-mail messages.
  • Drug screen and background check (facility required).

Nice To Haves

  • Nursing experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
  • BSN preferred.
