About The Position

Sentara is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) at Sentara Leigh Hospital's Labor & Delivery unit, in Norfolk Virginia. A sign-on bonus of up to $15,000 is offered for qualified candidates. This is a full-time position on the first shift. The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care, utilizing the nursing process. This includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching, health promotion, and evaluation. The RN also adheres to standards of professional performance, including ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice/nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas. All Direct Care RNs are required to have BLS within 90 days of hire.

Requirements

• RN Degree REQUIRED
• Virginia RN License REQUIRED
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required within 90-days of hire
• No experience required

Nice To Haves

• Prior RN experience PREFERRED
