About The Position

Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery (L&D) for a 13-week travel assignment in Great Barrington, MA. This position involves night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, requiring 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week. The contract begins on 7/20/2026. The role requires the nurse to work every other weekend and holidays as needed, with on-call requirements to be determined. An 8-hour non-billable orientation will be provided. All requested time off (RTO) must be included at the time of submission, as the facility will not approve requests made after the offer. Travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered. This position is open to RNs, OTs, PTs, SLPs, or Pharmacists, provided they meet the job requirements and are licensed in Massachusetts. Travelers must have their voicemail set up and be reachable. Certifications must be in hand and included in the profile upload, as the facility will not pend upon offer. No more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted. The agency's Massachusetts Temporary Nursing Service Agency License is required for submission.

Requirements

  • 2 years current L & D, Post Partum experience is required
  • Post Partum/Mother Baby (PP/MB) experience is required
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required
  • Perm address must be included with profile
  • Traveler must have their own vehicle for this assignment
  • Must have active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification
  • Must have active STABLE (Sugar, Temperature, Air Way, Blood Pressure, Lab Work and Emotional Support) Certification
  • Must have Massachusetts RN license
  • Must have current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently

  • Drug screen and background check (facility required)

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the mother and baby's vital signs throughout labor and delivery
  • Administer medications and pain relief as required
  • Provide education and emotional support to the mother and family
  • Assist with labor-inducing procedures and techniques
  • Prepare and maintain delivery rooms and equipment
  • Assist obstetricians and midwives during delivery
  • Perform postpartum care and monitor recovery
  • Recognize and respond to complications or emergencies
  • Document medical records and update patient charts
  • Educate new mothers on newborn care practices
