About The Position

Main Line Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Labor Delivery (Mother Baby) unit. This role is an integral part of the patient's overall experience, contributing to the consistent delivery of safe, high-quality clinical care. The Family Center Maternity handles over 2,000 births per year, and nurses are trained to care for mothers in both labor delivery and mother baby units. The unit is supported by a level II NICU. Nurses are encouraged to develop and grow their careers through certifications, advanced degrees, and participation in hospital and system-wide committees, unit councils, research projects, precepting, and the Clinical Ladder program.

Requirements

• One year of recent acute care nurse experience is required.
• PA RN license required.
• Must wear a respirator as part of the job requirement.

Nice To Haves

• Labor Delivery and or Mother Baby experience preferred.
• Provider BLS (American Heart Assoc/American Red Cross) preferred.
• NRP preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care and treatment of patients within the Labor Delivery (Mother Baby) unit.
• Provide safe, high-quality clinical care.
• Care for mothers in both labor delivery and mother baby units.
• Participate in hospital & system-wide Nursing Committees, Unit Councils, evidence-based research projects, precepting new staff, and pursuing the Clinical Ladder program.
