About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Labor and Delivery department at Ascension Owasso Medical Facility. The position is full-time, nights. The nurse will lead the care journey by implementing and monitoring individualized patient care plans, adjusting strategies based on real-time observation. They will accurately record, track, and communicate changes in patient condition to the interdisciplinary team, and carry out physician and advanced practice provider orders. The nurse will also coordinate clinical disciplines and manage discharge planning.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Responsibilities

Implement and continuously monitor individualized patient care plans, adjusting strategies based on real-time observation to ensure the highest quality of care and optimal outcomes.
Accurately record, track, and effectively communicate changes in patient condition and progress to the entire interdisciplinary team, ensuring proactive and timely interventions.
Note and carry out physician and advanced practice provider orders, maintaining adherence to clinical protocols and playing a critical role in the delivery of treatment.
Act as the primary coordinator for all clinical disciplines—from physical therapy to social work and pharmacy—to ensure seamless, cohesive, and collaborative patient care.
Proactively assess and coordinate all necessary discharge planning with the patient, family, and healthcare team, setting patients up for a safe, successful transition and continued wellness outside of the facility.
