About The Position
This role is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery at Columbia St. Mary's Milwaukee. The position is full-time and involves night shifts. The nurse will implement and monitor patient care plans, coordinate care among different disciplines, note and carry out physician and nursing orders, and assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing OR current home state license if considered multi-state/Compact State.
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
Nice To Haves
- 7pm-0730am, every third weekend, rotating holidays, and on call required
Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor patient care plans.
- Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
- Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
