About The Position

As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum. The IV Therapy department provides daily infusions, antibiotics, and specialty medications. The department has 5 IV Therapy bays and serves patients of all ages. Holiday and weekend coverage is required from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with standard scheduling consisting of 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday and 4-hour shifts on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. Position will be responsible for providing direct patient care, scheduling, and triaging patient needs. Requires independence, strong critical thinking, time management, and clinical skills including proficient peripheral IV skills and IV Ultrasound skills.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • 2-3+ years Pediatric Registered Nurse experience
  • Strong pediatric PIV skills
  • Ultrasound IV trained
