Requirements

• Licensed (RN) to practice in Maryland, or practice eligible.
• At least one year of experience.
• Diploma/degree from an accredited nursing school or enrolled in a BSN program.
• CPR for the Health Care Provider (BLS) required.
• CRNI (Certified RN Infusion) is strongly preferred.
• Obtained a BSN or Enrolled in a BSN program.
• Certification in a National Specialty is encouraged.
• One project benefiting the nursing unit approved by the nurse manager and director.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily rounding, insertion, assessment of intravenous access, and PICC lines.
• Gather statistical data for Central Line audits.
• Provide staff education in areas such as IV management and infection control practices.
• Contribute to quality initiatives in the area of vascular access through participation in nursing councils and committees.
