About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Registered Nurse – Intermediate Care for an exciting Travel or Local job in Utica, NY. This role involves providing direct patient care in an IMCU setting, managing a variety of complex patient conditions, and operating specialized medical equipment. The position requires flexibility to float to other units as needed and maintain accurate electronic health records.
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years IMCU/PCU experience required
- Active New York RN license (ALL RN licenses must be verified via NURSYS)
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Updated resume must include travel experience
- Skills checklist required matching specialty
- Driver’s license must match demographic address
- RTO must be included at time of submission
- Ability to care for adult patient population (18+)
- Comfortable working in high-acuity environment with floating requirement
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in IMCU setting
- Manage neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory patients
- Care for conditions including COPD, DKA, sepsis, MI, CV stepdown, and post-op cases
- Monitor and manage chronic ventilated patients with RT support
- Operate and manage specialty equipment (temp pacer, chest tubes, A-lines, BiPAP, Neptune Vapo)
- Perform ongoing patient assessments and clinical documentation
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses
- Float to other units as required
- Ensure safe and effective patient care delivery
- Maintain accurate EPIC EMR documentation
