About The Position

This is an ICU nursing position on a 14-bed unit serving adult patients (16 years and up). The patient population includes individuals with sepsis, shock, DKA, AKI, vascular conditions, strokes, and those requiring vents and trachs. The unit is trained in advanced procedures such as Impellas, IABP, and CRRT (SBL uses Prismax). Certifications required include ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS. A preferred certification is CCRN. Nurses may be required to float to the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or Medical/Surgical units.

Requirements

• Current RN license.
• ACLS certification.
• BLS certification.
• NIHSS certification.

Nice To Haves

• CCRN certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
• Manage patients with complex conditions including sepsis, shock, DKA, AKI, vascular issues, and strokes.
• Care for patients requiring mechanical ventilation and tracheostomy.
• Operate and monitor advanced medical equipment such as Impellas, IABP, and CRRT (Prismax).
• Float to Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or Medical/Surgical units as needed.
