Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit
About The Position
This is a Registered Nurse position in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The schedule varies, with shifts typically from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM (Nights). A minimum of 2 years of recent experience in the specialty is required. Candidates must have AHA BLS & ACLS certifications. Preferred certifications include CCRN & NIHSS. Experience with Cerner is required. This role is in a General Medical Surgical ICU. Holiday expectations include working 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (The Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve). No local candidates within 50 miles will be considered.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) specialty.
- AHA BLS certification.
- AHA ACLS certification.
- Experience with Cerner.
- Willingness to work night shifts.
- Ability to meet holiday work expectations (2 major holidays and 1 minor holiday).
Nice To Haves
- CCRN certification.
- NIHSS certification.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in a General Medical Surgical ICU.
- Administer patient care during night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM).
- Adhere to holiday work expectations, including working 2 major holidays and 1 minor holiday.
- Utilize Cerner for patient documentation and care management.
