About The Position

Sentara RMH Medical Center is hiring a registered nurse for the Critical Care Unit. This position is ideal for candidates who have experience or an interest in providing care for medical/surgical ICU patients and cardiothoracic surgical patients. Sign on bonus up to $20,000. Relocation assistance provided to those who meet the specified criteria. For many of our Registered Nurse roles, we welcome new graduate applicants. We're excited to share our starting pay rate for new graduate registered nurses with less than 1 year of experience is $36.00/hour.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse License (Required)
• Associates or Bachelor's Degree - Nursing (Required)

Nice To Haves

• Previous acute care experience (Preferred)
• Experience or an interest in providing care for medical/surgical ICU patients and cardiothoracic surgical patients.

Responsibilities

• Performing a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process.
• Assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation.
• Ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health.
• Possessing clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.
• The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.
