About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for a 13-week contract position in Arcata, California. The ICU RN will provide high-acuity nursing care to critically ill patients while maintaining close monitoring, timely clinical intervention, and effective interdisciplinary communication. The ICU Registered Nurse will provide skilled, responsive, and evidence-based critical care while supporting safe outcomes for high-acuity patients.

Requirements

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) License Required.
• Minimum 3 Years of ICU / Critical Care Nursing Experience Required.
• Current BLS,BCLS Certification Required.
• Current ACLS and PALS Certifications Required.
• Negative TB Screening Completed Within 12 Months of the Contract Start Date Required.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients and develop individualized nursing plans of care based on clinical needs.
• Provide advanced critical care nursing interventions and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
• Administer medications and therapies, monitor treatment response, and maintain established patient-safety standards.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive critical care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using CPSI/Evident and provide limited floating support for breaks or departmental assistance when needed.
