About The Position

Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit(ICU) for a 12-week travel assignment in Glenview, IL. This position involves 12-hour night shifts and requires the nurse to assess patients, perform documentation, participate in care planning, and coordinate discharge planning. The role may also involve floating to other units or facilities if needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of CV ICU experience
  • Must pass an EKG test
  • Must have Illinois State License
  • Must have Epic experience
  • Must have ACLS and NIHSS certification
  • Must have and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association during employment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Professionalism and reliability
  • Pass a drug screen and background check
  • Complete additional facility onboarding forms as assigned

Responsibilities

  • Assesses, utilizing age specific data, the patient’s physical, psychosocial, and spiritual status in a comprehensive manner
  • Demonstrates accurate assessment skills, appropriate to the age of the patient, based on scientific facts and principles
  • Performs initial assessment and completes required documentation within organizational standards
  • Performs and documents ongoing assessments including observation, physical examination, laboratory/test results, and patient response to procedural intervention
  • Participates in the identification and clarification of patient needs, as evidenced by participation in multidisciplinary care planning, to achieve optimal patient outcomes
  • Assists other staff in the delivery of patient care, as appropriate
  • Incorporates patient teaching/discharge planning to promote optimal patient outcomes
  • Coordinates and documents appropriate discharge planning and referrals to ensure continuity of care after discharge
