About The Position

Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse - Intensive Care / Coronary Nurse (ICU) for a 13-week travel assignment in Tuba City, AZ 86045. This position is primarily within the Intensive Care Unit and periodically will FLOAT to ED, Med/Surg or Peds in case of low census. Provides Nursing Care to critically ill patients. The Registered Nurse performs a variety of responsible nursing care procedures requiring professional knowledge and consideration of specific patient conditions and treatments and the ability to work independently in completing assignments. Guidelines include doctors' orders, standards of care, nursing policies and procedures manuals, hospital policies. Nursing duties include the provision of inpatient care and support in the 5 Bed I.C.U. to individuals of all ages and their families. After hours recovery of post op general surgery, pediatric, & OB patients as needed.

Requirements

  • Must have at least 3 years of prior ICU experience
  • Must have Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Must have and maintain a current valid unrestricted Professional Nursing License (RN) to practice nursing in any state of the United States of America, The Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States
  • Must maintain current valid certification of the following throughout employment: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association must be completed within six (6) months of hire.
  • Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) must be completed within 6 months of hire
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH) – NIHSS must be completed within 6 months of hire
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Strong communication, professionalism, and reliability
  • Drug screen and background check (facility required)
  • Additional facility onboarding forms as assigned

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress
  • Administer treatments
  • Identify changes in a patient’s condition and react accordingly
  • Maintain patient records
  • Complete paperwork necessary for patient transfer out of the intensive care unit
