About The Position

The Occupational Therapist I/II / Advanced Occupational Therapist I/II position serves to provide quality occupational therapy services to a predominantly Native American population for the rehabilitation of patients with various developmental, cognitive and/or mental, emotional, and physical disabilities by planning and administering medically prescribed occupational therapy. Responsible for assessing and interpreting evaluation/s and test results for patients ranging in age from birth through geriatric; determining occupational therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians or by prescription and setting realistic treatment goals depending on the patient’s physical, mental abilities, needs, and evaluation findings and/or diagnosis and documenting in electronic health records (EHR); evaluate results of occupational therapy by observing, noting, and evaluating patient’s progress; recommending and implementing adjustments and modification to therapy plan; promote maximum independence by selecting and constructing therapies according to the patient’s goals and needs.

Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of one (2) year experience as a licensed Occupational Therapist.
  • Must have strong orthopedic skills, since a majority of our patients are ortho patients.
  • Must have a valid, current, full and unrestricted license from the American Occupational Therapy Association and Arizona Department of Health Licensure or in any state within the United States, District of Columbia, or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or eligible for licensure in Occupational Therapy in State of Arizona.
  • Bachelor’s in Occupational Therapy from a school accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association's Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE).
  • Must have and maintain a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association
  • Applicant must meet requirements to be credentialed to serve on the Medical Staff. All related information required for credentialing must be provided.

  • Drug screen and background check (facility required)
