About The Position
Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center is seeking a Part-Time Registered Nurse for their Inpatient Surgical unit. This role involves providing a competent level of nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for assessing and admitting patients, conducting rounding checks, administering medications, communicating with family members, and overseeing the overall care of patients. The position emphasizes teamwork and a commitment to patient safety, quality, service, and integrity within an excellent healthcare organization.
Requirements
- Previous RN experience preferred (new grads welcome).
- RN Degree: RN Diploma, ADN, BSN or MSN.
- RN License valid to work in the State of Virginia.
- BLS within 90 days of hire.
Responsibilities
- Performing a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process.
- Assessing/admitting patients.
- Rounding checks.
- Giving medications.
- Talking with family members.
- Being responsible for the overall care of your patients.
